For some reason, I thought this was another one of those global warning movies so after watching the 1st 10 minutes of "this movie" I was kind of confused haha. As it turns out, a global warming domanjuiceentary wouldn't have been nearly as interesting. I'm not going into details but the only beef I had wiht the movie was that nearly the whole movie was shot and based in NY and like 2 scenes in Texas but they still called it the hottest state... what gives? why not call it the most obnoxious state with 2 scenes in Texas.... well, with that title M@$$achuesetts might have a beef! OHHH SNAP! haha.

Namesake:
Great movie about an Indian guy who's trying to find out who he is while struggling with his heritage and the American way... The guy who's in Harold and Kumar is the main kid but yet has a smaller part than advertised but this was a great movie. It captures, seemingly, ALL the struggles this family goes through and doesn't miss a beat with the drama. Great, great movie!

The Dark Knight:
So we took some time out and spent the money to go see this bad boy in Theaters and boy was it worth it! Almost 3 hours of truly well spent money. Great action and special effects. Great acting and plot... as good as the hype and deservedly so. There's nothing you can say about this movie that hasn't already been said, it'll be tough to top this one in teh future and other "super hero" movies need to take notes. Longer makes for more epic flicks.

So, we had some serious beef with the audio in this movie. I love some good sound effects and stuff and we've got a nice stereo to hear it with but when you have to pump up the music super loud to hear any of the dialog just to scramble for the remote to almost mute it b/c the "silenced" gun shots are so freaking loud your pictures are falling off the wall... you've got some issues. But all that aside this movie was very creepy and good. Also, Dane Cook is a better actor than comedian... his comedy blows like some chinese olympics gymnastic judging and yet his acting is very good.

So the Japanese make a movie and then the americans gotta go and make the same movie and screw it up. Well, maybe they both NBAofficialed... i don't know but this was another "movie with a moral" and it was just stupid and weird and full of deciept and I don't know why anyone would ever marry someone else when they were in a movie haha.

Halloween:
The new one, not the 70s one. Graphic and intense but also very good. Lots of creepy moments and stomach wrenching death scenes but it wasn't gory just to be gory either (if that makes any sense at all). I enjoyed this movie a lot more than expected. If you like a good horror movie this is a movie you've been waiting for amidst all the crap and gorefests out there currently.

Superhero movie:
Like the scary movies series and the like? you'll love this movie. Hate the scary movies? you'll hate this movie. I personally enjoy the scary movie series and so I liked this movie. I was actually laughing more than I did at some of the later scary movies. Wasn't missing too much in terms of jokes either.

Borat (HBO):
If you haven't seen this movie and you think that you will hate it, please don't watch this movie. This is a movie that you will either love or hate and I'm in the former column. I think it's ridiculously
over the top and quite possibly the crudest domanjuiceentary ever thought of but, man, does it entertain.

September Dawn:
So, it turns out that there's a bunch of crazy @$$ people who at one point created a new religion (or spin off of a current religion) and they swore up and down they were different and better and chosen and then these "different better and chosen" people decide to go psycho and not so different than a lot of other people and kill for no other reason than hate, jealousy and stupidity. No these people aren't muslim or even canadian but instead they are the mormons. So mormons are idiots too and this movie wasn't terrible but a tad too long.

August Rush:
Ok, so being a former "musician" and current video dude, one of my BIGGEST pet peeves is when people who can't play an instrument "try" and act like they can... well, they can't, and no editor in the world can make it seem real. So, there's strike one of this movie. Strike two comes with the prodigy kid who learns the guitar in 6 months and is playing like a pro... so, you are asking yourself what wrong with learning the guitar in 6 months? lot of people do that. Sure, you can learn theory of guitar in 6 months, you can probably learn to play and sing and even might be able to play some cool stuff in 6 months but there are certain things you CAN'T do after 6 months, mainly b'c your body has to learn things naturally from repetition. I mean, if you've ever played guitar, you know that playing an F chord correctly ain't something you can do the 1st time, and it's not like you can practice for 10 hours a day either b/c your freaking fingers will be bleeding from your lack of callus build up on your finger tips. So that's strike 2 and strike 3 is the freaking Liberace @$$ plot. Cheesiest crap I've probably ever seen. Three strikes and you're out brotha!

The Eye:
So what's the deal with "horror" movies with these stupid morals and plot with non-killing intent. I mean, not to spoil the movie but can't a chick get some kind of weird 6'sense and it be terrible and horrible and only destined to be bad for everyone around her without a "happy ending"? I mean seriously! and if you are gonna constantly throw this Jessica Alba chick at me over and over again and not get her neked at least once for me... then I"m gonna get more annoyed than I already am.

I know who killed me:
Ok, so this one wasn't as bad as "The Eye" but it still falls into my same beef category. I think I was also already annoyed with "the Eye" when I saw this one so that doesn't help the fact that this movie was about the same. It also didn't take me that long to figure out the "catch" either. I won't give anything away but I will give you this hint, danny devito and arnold swartsenager (sp?).

Hellboy II: the golden army:
So we went to the movies for this one and considering it was a sequel and those usually blow I kept my expectations low and tried to have an open mind and I was not disappointed. I really liked the original hellboy and thought the humor added with the action was a perfect blend and this movie didn't not cut it slack on either! I would say this movie was as good or better than the 1st hellboy and I hope they make a 3rd... as long as they keep to the same style as these.

The Onion Movie:
Apparently the Onion website got up enough money and volunteers to make a movie and they did. I thought the movie was pretty good. It was full of really bad stupid humor and lots of over the top sequences which are right up my alley. Now wasn’t too trilled by the whole story line or anything and it had it’s moments where were pretty boring to put it bluntly but as a whole this was an interesting movie and much different than some of the other movies that are out there right now.

I think this movie was probably about 3 years too late in the making. I think the “Liberace” being funny stuff is over and gone and they squeezed the “fruit” one last time to get any of the juice out of it that was left to make this movie. That being said, this wasn’t a terrible movie. I don’t think Adam Sandler and Kevin James could be in a movie together and it not be the least bit funny. Add in about 100 of the usual suspects/friends of Adam and Kevin and you’ve got yourself a pretty decent shindig. I really wished they had shown more of Jessica beil in her undies though haha.

Futurama is awesome and they made something I hadn’t seen yet. Loved it. Great Futurama humor throughout!
