Please don't do business with AT&T

Ever gotten the raw end of a deal?

Ever been treated with so little respect that you honestly wish God's wrath upon them?

Ever been told "there's nothing we can do" when you know that statement is a lie?

Ever wished you could bankrupt a business just by willing it?

Ever wanted a chocolate cupcake?

Ok, I threw that last one in there to make sure you know I still have my sense of humor through all of this... but I digress...

In the past 3 months or so I've been trying to advertise for my business in the cheapest way possible. I've looked into print ads and radio ads and media ads and video ads and just about everything you can think of. I've exhausted all my options and narrowed them all down to a handful and then went through the vigorous process of trying to find the "best fit" for me.

Well, after a good while of searching and hours on the phone. I finally "figured out" that the best option was for me to "advertise" using the yellowpages and more specifically yellowpages.com or as you might know it www.666-satan's-anus-must-be-nicer-than-we-are.com

Well, to begin, they gave me the run around. Telling me that they couldn't give me an ad until next September.. meaning the September of 2009. Then they told me they could... then they couldn't again. I spent hours on the phone with these jackasses before they finally told me they could do something and then what they said and what they did were 2 different things. After about 2 weeks of this (calling at least once a day) I finally made some headway.

Now, I'll admit sometimes God puts a road block up for you to overcome and sometimes God puts a road block in front of you to warn you of impending DOOM! This was the ladder...

So... Let me get to the point. AT&T, FINALLY!! gets to me and "sets me up with what I need"... and I'm "thrilled to death b/c it's gonna be so great!!"

RIGHT!! dry.gif

So now I'm stuck in a "contract" that goes until 2009... YET! (and a big yet...) there is NOTHING in the contract that says I cannot break the contract... or end the contract early... or even pay a penalty to get out. Nothing. There's no stipulations about anything like that.

I hate money and people who love money... if you are only focused on money you will enjoy hell a lot when you die. shoeless/icanthearyou.gif

Here's a lovely video of a video that proves my point about AT&T as well... enjoy
